Why you're not really afraid of failing or rejection
Here's what you are afraid of
Dear Heartfelt Creatives,
I’m hosting a free content creation challenge in my Heartfelt Creatives Skool community. On our coaching call last night, we discussed something important.
We’re not really afraid of failing or rejection; we’re afraid of how we treat ourselves when we fail or are rejected.
I learned this when I was going through a hard time in February 2024. I felt like I disappointed my friends, and I beat myself up over it. My reaction was more severe than anyone else’s. I asked my coach, Tom Bilyeu, about having boundaries. He said, “Don’t burn your flesh to keep others warm.”
It changed me forever.
What I’m learning
We need to give ourselves grace. In the content creation challenge, the most important insight was to stop beating yourself up for missing posts or getting low views. Sometimes we create a block to posting or creating because we are so afraid of how we will treat ourselves if we mess up or it doesn’t go well.
Forgive yourself. Give yourself grace. Carry on.
What I’m loving
I’m loving this app I found called Workhorse by Julie Broome. It helps you plan your content. I just got it, and I’m looking forward to plotting out my content with it.
I’ll dive deeper into what I’m learning and loving in my own artistic journey on my paid community, but for now… I want to hear what you’re learning and loving!
Encouragement from the heart
Forgive yourself.
Give yourself grace.
With gratitude,
Katie Moran
